I chose to do the Underground Railroad for my wiki because it is a topic I have not had the opportunity to teach or really learned much about during my time as a teacher or a student. I think it is an important part of our history. I also feel that it is an important lesson in helping others and character development. In this wiki you will find all sorts of lessons and ideas to use when teaching about the Underground Railroad. I focused a lot on the timeline and the people involved. I also want the students to get a clear picture of what it was like to be a slave on the Freedom Train as well as someone who helped the slaves escape.
